All proceeds benefit Street Haven at the Crossroads. Established
in 1965 by a young nurse who saw a need to provide women who were
marginalized a safe haven. Forty-three years later, we are a multi-faceted
agency with a treatment program and facility, supportive housing,
a 27-bed shelter and a computer and literacy program. All women
are treated with dignity and respect and have their own case worker
and treatment plan.

Recently praised by the New Yorker as an "adventurous pianist"
who "likes his music on the brainy side," Ivan Ilic is
rapidly gaining a strong international reputation. 60 engagements
in 2007 included débuts in Boston, Washington, Dublin, Bristol,
Glasgow, and Cardiff. Current season highlights include recitals
at Carnegie Hall (New York), Wigmore Hall (London), the National
Concert Hall (Dublin), the Belgrade Philharmonic, and Glenn Gould
Studio (Toronto).
His first CD of music by Claude Debussy, lauded as "masterly"
by Gramophone Magazine, recently received Mezzo Television's Critics
Choice Award in France.
Ivan Ilic’s Canadian recital début will include Canadian
premières of works by Brian Current (CAN), Keeril Makan (USA),
John Metcalf (CAN/UK), and Debussy Préludes from his new
CD. Composer Brian Current will give a pre-concert chat at 7:30
p.m.
